Overview

Tribhuvan University (TU), established in 1959, is the first national institution of higher education in Nepal. The Central Administrative Office and the Central Campus of the University are located at Kritipur, an ancient and small town located five kilometers away from Kathmandu city center. The university covers over an area of 154.77 hectares (3042-4-2 ropanies) of land at kritipur.

The Prime Minister of Nepal is the ceremonial chief, the chancellor of the University and the Minister of Education is Pro-Chancellor. The financial management and general administration are regulated by the registrar under the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor.

On January 8, 2013, the government of Nepal declared Tribhuvan University as the Central University which is a non-profit making institution funded by the Government of Nepal.

Academic Programmes

The executive officials and the instructors at Tribhuvan University have been engaged in teaching and research activities. It aims to improve educationist through collaboration with other universities across the world. It has relations with more than 170 universities and educational institutions across the world that focus to increase more cooperation.

Tribhuvan University has 7966 teaching faculty and 7320 non-teaching staff including the support staff in its constituent campuses. There are a total of 15196 employees including 124 new posts of the Manmohan Cardiothorasis Centre.

BBM program in TU

BBM is a four-year eight semesters academic program that is conducted by the Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University. This course is designed to produce skilled manpower in the field of business management. BBM graduates will be able to handle challenges and difficulties and make a great career in the field of business management.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students are required to pass +2 or any equivalent education from a board or any educational institute that is affiliated to TU.
  • Students are required to pass CMAT examination
  • Students should be able to score second division.

Objective

  • To build students skills in creative thinking, leadership, and be able to handle any kind of challenges or issues they should overcome
  • To develop students for professional work as a leader and entrepreneurs.
